Where are you from and how was life growing up? Born and raised in Memphis Tn.It’s a pretty unique experience. I feel like there’s no where like my city. But there’s definitely places that can relate to the fact that it will swallow you whole if you allow it.

How did the artist name come to be? Well my momma tells me it my cousin named me Kendrick. But P stands for my last name.

Where does the inspiration come from for creating music? Well my father and uncle were into music but just weren’t really serious about the craft.My grandfather is a pastor and he is the reason I’ve been so hands on musically my whole life. 

What artists inspired you the most and who do you currently listen to? Growing up I heard a lot of music.My mom had me on Jodeci Boys to Men DruhillDarnell Jones Usher BeyoncĂ© Rkelly Nas Nelly UGK Hotboys OutKast T.I and a few other he set hitters. My favs growing up outside of those were guys like T-pain  Trey Songz Chris Brown Gucci Yo Gotti Drake lil Wayne Future and so many more.I’m listening to most of those guys still including recently added artist Like Jcole KendLamar Nipsey HussleLil Baby Roddy Ricch 6Lack Bryson Tiller Ty Dolla sign WS Boogie Tory Lanez and a few more 

What kind of support do you get from your home town/state? If you wasn’t creating music, what would you be doing right now?I honestly feel like I would just be getting involved with my community as much as possible. I have a passion for people.especially our youth. So I feel it’s only right that I put my energy where it matters most. 

What really makes you stand out and different from other artists? I feel it’s my approach to music. I don’t think most artist our day are really putting time into what there craft. More so just searching for a “hit” for that quick check. But I understand that with music it’s much bigger than self. 

What’s your biggest goal in the music industry?
I just want to be able to make people around the world feel the music. I mean I want awards and I want to break records but In doing that I’m hoping to bring people together by creating music they can relate to.

If you could collaborate with one single artist who would it be and why?
Probably T-Pain.He kind of perfected the art of the auto tune and ushered in a wave of new sounds from artist of today. Not to mention his writing is impeccable.I feel like he is one of our most underrated Goats. 

Favorite Artists of all time and why?
I have so many Favorite artist but if I have to choose it would be J.Cole.The stories he tells paint picture of things I have been through and opened my mind to a purer approach to Life.

What advice would you give to inspiring artists?
I would say Stay Pure. Stay True to who you are and be free in that. Live in the moment and create what you feel! Don’t let anyones fears weigh you down. It’s all up to you! Search for your purpose and stick to that. Everything works out from there.
