Where are you from and explain life growing up? I was born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina but raised in Southfield, Michigan. Growing up my life was good. I had my mom and dad although they separated later. My mom kept me in everything from etiquette class, basketball, Summer camps there was nothing I didn’t do as a child.

When did you decide you wanted to start your own business? My husband inspired me to start my own business. My husband pushed me to my fullest potential. Before him I worked in healthcare and I loved it because I love helping people, however when I met my husband he said “you know what let me show you how to work for yourself. Figure out what it is you want to do and I will invest in you”. My first business was my hairline Klassy Queens. My mom was diagnosed with cancer and later passed but I used to see her not feel beautiful because she didn’t have hair. So after she passed I wanted everyone to feel beautiful whether it was wigs or bundles.

What exactly do you offer as far as services and why would a company artists want to work with you? I own my own boutique and dance studio as of right now. Companies love working with me because of my personality and spirit.

How do you plan on continuing to grow? I plan on continuing to push positive content that is very impactful for Women and our youth.

Has the current COVID-19 situation affected your business in any way? Honestly,  Covid actually has not had an effect on my business. Although my boutique store front is still not open as of yet, people are still able to shop online.

What advice would you give to a young entrepreneur who wants to start their own business? Set goals, research, set out dates to accomplish your goals and put your plans to action. Don’t give up no matter how hard it is. Nothing comes easy and everything is an investment.

Who or what is your biggest inspiration? My mom was my biggest inspiration. I saw my mom fight cancer twice and she would give you her last if she could. My Mom was so impactful on everyone and she left a mark on everyone’s heart.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? I see myself having two boutiques and a spa, I see one of my books being one of New York Timesbest sellers, I also see my husband and I launching a positive TV show showing people you can be positive and you can be different and not follow the trends of negativity.

What advice would you give to someone looking to start their own business?  Set out your goals, research and set out dates to accomplish your goals and put your plans to action. Don’t give up no matter how hard it is. Nothing comes easy and everything is an investment.
