The Homies
“The Homies”

Where are you from and how was life growing up? I’m from Louisville, KY raised predominantly in the West End 34th and Kentucky and Shively but also in the East in Clarkdale. I had a fun childhood. I was involved in all the sports and a lot of summer camps so that helped me meet a lot of friends. I always say I want my kids to do the same.

Where did the inspiration come from for creating music? I guess my parents because they got me a drum set at age of about 4 lol idk why they did maybe I stayed beating on pots and pans or something but basically, I’ve always played music. I do remember hearing music on the radio riding around with my mom and I would always think to myself, damn I want to make those beats too.

Favorite song done on one of your beats? Some Homies stuff for sure. I love the beat I did for The Homies called Nightcrawla, its still one of my favorite beats I’ve ever made. Also Sloob’s Moovin and Groovin. I have some songs that will be on the Lucci tape that I don’t want to announce right that among my favorites too. We can talk about that later

What Kind of support do you get from your home town/state? I think I get a lot of support from my city. On the DJ side, all of my parties are a movie. I threw the best party Louisville has ever seen, the Memorial Day pool party on campus in 2017. I had Sullys rockin everytime I DJ’d and now Vibes. So yea when people see that Ronnie Lucciano is DJ’ing, its 9 times out of ten a great turnout so I’d say that’s a lot of support. My friends and family definitely support me.

If you weren’t producing, what would you be doing right now? I honestly don’t know. I did complete college and earned a degree, but I still don’t even care about that lol.

What makes you stand out and different from other producers? What makes me stand out is the fact that I’m very versatile. I can play you 5 beats and they’ll be 5 different sounding beats, even a different genre. I mentioned how Nightcrawla and moovin and Groovin are some of my favorite songs I’ve produced, those two sound completely different from one another. When I’m at home making beats, I always challenge myself to do different stuff and simply because it gets annoying hearing the same stuff lol.

What’s your biggest goal in the music industry? It changes as time goes by but now that I think about it is probably because I set the bar too low. Like last year I had a goal to get 5 album placements outside of the garden (The Homies and Jack) and now that I’ve accomplished that, I can see myself winning a grammy one day. I do know for a fact that I want to be able to live comfortably off my musical talents. I just want to continue being relevant and making money.

If you could collaborate with one single artist who would it be and why? Drake. Drake is my favorite artist and he is diverse so I feel like I could bring one of those styles he has to life.
