We had a moment to chat with Tere Tatiana, owner of 4 businesses based in GA. Get to know more about her in our full interview below.

Where are you from and explain life growing up? I was born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in Statesboro, Georgia. I grew up as the only child to a single mother who hustled her butt off as a beautician. Her tenacity coupled with my eagerness to get out of the small town of Statesboro catapulted my interest in becoming successful. I graduated from an HBCU where I pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. I later went on to my very first job as a Government Contractor making 6 figures per year in 2009 in Afghanistan when my daughter was 4 years old. Although the money was great, working 7 days a week, 12 hours a day showed me even more that entrepreneurship was the way for me. As a result I started my brands – labeled Blu Collections (boutique), Labeled Blu Transportation (trucking company), Labeled Blu Realty and Southern Hospitality (adult day care facility).
What exactly do you offer as far as services and why would a company artist want to work with you? During the initial phases of creating my companies, I wanted to show people that there are other ways than entertainment, sports and beauty to make a lucrative income. I also wanted to feed all aspects of myself: Beautiful, Logistics & Realty. In addition, I created an Introduction into the Trucking Industry virtual course to help young entrepreneurs break into the trucking industry.

How do you plan on continuing to grow? I continue to grow by remaining open minded, never feel as though “I’ve made it” and continue to stay hungry. I also continue to attend seminars, courses etc.
Has the current COVID-19 situation affected your business in any way? COVID-19 did affect my business but FOR THE GOOD! Over the last few months I’ve really thrown myself into my companies and have seen such a positive reaction.
What advice would you give to a young entrepreneur who wants to start their own business? DO IT NOW! Even with so much uncertainty going on, now is the best time to get yourself out there! Build a strong social media and online presence, it’ll pay off sooner than you expect
Who or what is your biggest inspiration? My biggest inspiration is my mother.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? In five years, I plan on having government contracts with my trucking company, having show rooms in Atlanta, LA, NY, and Miami with my boutique.
