We had a moment to chat with Brooke B a Kentucky native who’s gained a massive following on the popular video app TikTok. One of her most popular videos Have you ever lied to your parents?! has reached over 1.1 million likes with one of our personal favorites being I have the coolest dad featuring Brooke and her father dancing to Billie Eilish’s Bad Guy. What got you into gaming? Growing up with two older brothers, I always wanted to be doing what they were doing. They were really big into video games so I would always play on their consoles or on my dad’s computer. Once I got into high school I kind of drifted away from the gaming world. Then, once I was in college I started playing again and decided to buy my own Xbox and then eventually got my own gaming computer.
Favorite games you play? Dead By Daylight, Call Of Duty, Overwatch, Sea Of Thieves, Runescape
Best and worse things about living in Kentucky? The best part of living in Kentucky is that my family and friends are here. Worst is the unpredictable weather, and not having anyone close to create content with. There also is not much to do where I am from so it can be very boring.
When did you start uploading to Tik Tok? I started around December of 2018
What your first most popular video? My first most popular video was the “Animaniacs Nations Of The World” chain that I did. People were accusing me of reading the lyrics in the comments, so i made a chain of videos trying to prove that I wasn’t reading the lyrics.
With over 700+ videos how did you stay consistent with content and what kept you motivated? It can definitely be hard some days coming up with content, but usually I just scroll the for you page and find a song that I can create something to. What kept me motivated was all the positive comments and people messaging me and telling me how much I inspire them and make them smile. If i can make at least one person smile everyday then my job is done!
Did you ever come across any creative blocks? Sometimes it can be challenging to come up with ideas for videos, and when I do go through those days, I allow myself to take a day or two off from posting videos. It is important to post as much as possible, however it is 100% OK to take a break and collect thoughts.
Who are some of your favorite music artists? My favorite music artists right now are Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, and Jon Langston. All amazing country artists.
What type of support do you get from friends/family? My friends and family are super supportive. Especially my dad. Anytime he is out somewhere he will literally tell any person he sees to go and follow me on Tik Tok. Sometimes it is embarrassing, but its nice to know that he is proud of me!
If you could work with one person who would it be and why? Probably David Dobrik, he is a huge influencer and is always giving back to the community and his fans. His content is great and he just seems like a very genuine person all around. Definitely someone that I look up to.
What type of goals do you have as a content creator and do you have any other projects lined up? My goals are just to keep growing my community, spreading positive vibes, being someone that people can look up to. Eventually I would like to move somewhere where there are more content creators so it would be easier to collab. Right now it’s hard to collab due to where I am located, and travel isn’t cheap unfortunately. Another thing that I would really like to work on is growing my YouTube and posting more content there.
