So I’m not going to lie, i discovered 2’live bre after he followed me on instagram. I checked out his page and noticed he had a song with Duke Deuce and it lead to one music video after another. I really liked his vibes and after adding a few songs to my playlists i thought we had to do a quick interview.
Weâre here with 2âLive Bre lets get to it –
When and how did you start making music?
I started making music when I was about 11 years old , it originally came from me writing stories in a journal trying to escape the environment that I was living in.
How would you describe your music for someone who hasnât heard you before?
My music is how I imagine life should be, itâs gives you energy when your low.
At what point did you start taking music more seriously?
I started taking my music career serious in the 11th grade , after I noticed my impact on people , I realized my gift wasnât normal. So i invested in my self daily , not only with money but time and effort too.
What artists inspired you the most and who do you currently listen to?
Honestly it had to be people like Wayne or Soulja boy at the time i started , Soulja boy was just coming out and the internet just started really being a thing when I started rapping. . Shout out to MySpace , but currently I listen to everyone Iâm more motivated on the moves that artist make then the sounds, i believe everyoneâs talented but you got to move different to be a megastar.
How did you come up with your name?
Originally my rap name was Lil Bre , I decided to drop the Lil only because so many artist were riding the âLil â wave and I always wanted to stand out. So 2âLive came from just wanting people to live their lives too the fullest . Even off the mic I bring life to any situation , so i wanted to teach people with my name and my music.
What kind of support do you get from your home town/state.
Nashville Tennessee treats me well, itâs crazy because people always tell me itâs a country music city but I think if you want something youâll change the narrative naturally . My school is the biggest HBCU in the nation and they are behind me, Tennessee State University.
Did you ever have any issues with support from friends/family on becoming an artist?
I never had issues with becoming an artist , itâs hard being artist because youâll miss being a friend , family member to people you care about . A lot of inspiring rappers and managers do not understand the changes of your lifestyle as artist effects everyone around you too.
What was your first real âhitâ that brought you your most exposure?
Honestly âParty at Waffle House â gave me the most exposure, salute to world star and twitter and Facebook for making me go viral . Too bad Waffle House sent me a letter to take the music video down . But that party i threw, and song made the world shake and It gave me the title as Lit God/ 2Live the life or the party to live up too for life.
With the thousands of rappers that pop up daily, what really makes you stand out and different from the rest?
Honestly what makes me stand is that Iâm truly for the people and not myself . If you follow me youâll see it in my actions. Iâm always gone put the people before my self.
Whatâs your biggest goal in the music industry?
my biggest goal is to inspire an upcoming millionaire to get a million or be successful & sell out the Nissan stadium in my home town one day.
If you could collaborate with one single artist who would it be and why?
I want to collaborate with travis Scott because his music always grows . I love listening to him because his production is always unique from others.
Where can we find your music / socials?
You can find my music on all platforms by search 2âLive Bre and on all social media @2LiveBre .
