Where are you from? West Side of Charlotte, NC
What inspired you to start your business? After returning back home from the military in 2009, I was faced with the decision to do something with myself. Luckily, someone that I looked up to at the time seen, more in myself than I did. He inspired me to develop a concept that later turned into what we now know as One Nation Elevated Streetwear.
What was the first event or experience that really boosted your career? I was invited to an event called Drip Fest. That was my first time having an opportunity to participate in a fashion show. It was an experience that showed & taught me alot about not only the fashion industry but the city of Charlotte.
How did you get your name? The name One Nation Elevated derives from the premise of a nation or group of people having the same elevated views. Basically ones who are able to see through the bullshit that is pumped out to the masses.
Who is your biggest inspiration? Inspiration? Creatives in general, whether it be Kanye from a fashion sense, or Virgil starting his own line & becoming a creative director at one of the biggest fashion houses in the world! Hell, I be inspired from other less known designers like as well! Honestly, my biggest inspiration comes from my environment, the things that I see & experience on a daily basis, rather than any one person.
What has been the most difficult part of developing your business? Maintaining it! In addition to finding & keeping good people around you!
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Heading up the biggest streetwear brand in the world!
If you could collaborate with a celebrity, who would it be? Off the top of my head I would have to say Freeband Future, just because he is my favorite music artist
What advice would you give to young business owners? Stay Consistent!
