Cameron Major, a 20 year-old Hip-hop artist from Louisville, Kentucky is only “5 (years) in” as he spits in the opening verse of his newest offering “Mortimer Winston”.
Coming off releasing various EP’s under different aliases which have sinced been removed from streaming services, Major released his debut official mixtape “Exit 1 To Valley Station” in July 2022.

“It’s really just an introduction to where I want to take my music,” he tells Jukebox Culture, “music that doesn’t sacrifice anything sonically while still making every single bar push my message, like there is not a word wasted on this project.”
When asked what said message is, Major smirks, “bop the tape and you’ll know”. Mortimer Winston, track 4 from the project, brings a grimey, old-school feel lyrically with an extremely soulful sample to flavor the instrumental. Said instrumental, produced by New York City producer 2300, applies pressure through its continuous bounce & groove.
The visuals for the track, shot by MoondoProductions are out now on Major’s YouTube channel. Stream the project & watch the visuals now!
